KALĀ-PRĀPTI SAMĀRŌH
(Graduation Ceremony)
In the Indian knowledge tradition, graduation was never merely a certificate—it was a samskāra-like transition from shiśhya to vidwān or sādhaka. So, Kalā-Prāpti Samārōh (Sanskrit: कलाप्राप्ति समारोह) reflects completion, consecration, and readiness to serve dharma and society.
The Sangeeta Bharati Graduation Ceremony is a formal recognition of students who have completed their course of study and fulfilled all examination requirements.
Conducted during the Dallas Navaratra Sangeeta and Nrutyotsava, the ceremony celebrates the student’s artistic accomplishment in the presence of Gurus, parents, and the larger community. It is designed to honor the Guru–Shishya tradition and mark the student’s transition to the next stage of learning.
